MODULARITY EVOLVED
The Lian Li O11D EVO RGB is the latest update of the hugely popular O11D PC Case Series. Every release of the O11D Series has boasted outstanding customisation options and new innovations. One of the returning features for the O11D EVO RGB is that this case can be reversed with a few simple steps. This means that no matter how you wish to display your gaming PC, you can have a fantastic view of your gaming hardware inside.
To make this even better, Lian Li has made it possible to remove the front support pillar without affecting the structural integrity of the case. This allows for a completely uninterrupted view of everything inside the chassis.
Another upgrade is an increase in size. In fact, this case now measures 471mm x 290mm x 478mm (H x W x D), which provides ample room for the latest gaming hardware. Thanks to this expansion, the main compartment can facilitate large graphics cards, with 455.7mm clearance and seven expansion slots. What’s more, maintaining your hardware at optimum temperatures is easy, as this case can facilitate a 167mm tower air cooler or a custom water-cooling loop.
NEW CASE, NEW LIGHTING
If you enjoy subtle RGB case lighting then the Lian Li O11D EVO RGB is perfect for you. This chassis features two 1.5mm L-shaped RGB strips, that sit at the top and bottom of the tempered glass panels. These strips are easy to control with both hardware and software control options available.
The Lian Li O11D EVO RGB features four buttons that provide you with complete control of your lighting. There are two Mode buttons, which cycle backwards and forwards through a range of lighting effects. Alongside these is the Colour button, which switches between eleven different colours, Pure Colour Mode, and RGB Lighting Mode. Finally, the Brightness button can adjust the intensity of the lighting, with five different levels at 100%, 75%, 50%, 25%, and 0%.
Alternatively, you can connect the RGB strips to your motherboard via a standard RGB header. This allows you to control the lighting via your favourite software, such as Lian Li L-Connect 3, MSI Mystic Light, ASUS Aura Sync, and Gigabyte RGB Fusion. What’s more, you can easily switch between hardware control and software control by simply holding one of the Mode buttons down for 3 seconds.
MAKING BUILDING EASY
Lian Li has ensured that building your dream gaming PC in the O11D EVO RGB is as simple as possible. For starters, the internal layout of the chassis can be adjusted as the motherboard tray is removable. This means you can mount many of your core components, such as motherboard, CPU, RAM, and NVMe drives, before returning the tray to the case. Thanks to this feature, installing your hardware is much easier, as you are not having to work in a confined environment.
Additionally, all the fan brackets can be removed, making setup of your cooling solution less fiddly. The side bracket even offers four different ways for mounting, as the bracket can be flipped both vertically and horizontally. The bracket can either point in towards the main chamber of the case or out to the rear. This allows for a variety of radiator and fan combinations to be installed. Additionally, by having the bulk of the bracket structure located either closer to the motherboard tray or away from it provides better support for a wider range of boards.
Alongside this, the Lian Li O11D EVO RGB offers phenomenal cable management. This includes a range of Velcro straps and dual layered clips, which can gather both your large and small cables together into an easily managed bundle. Moreover, the PSU mounting bracket protrudes 15mm out from the case, which provides additional space for cable management. Furthermore, Lian Li has redesigned the side vertical passthrough grommets next to the motherboard, so cable runs to even the largest E-ATX motherboards will be clean.
