I love my chonky keyboard!

I bought the barebones kit that came with the free yellow Wuque switches and threw the DaYe Purple Night key caps in the shopping cart to go with it. I was looking for something better than the £10 keyboard work issued me with in the office. I'm a software developer, so I'm inside a command line half the day.

Well, turns out this is the nicest keyboard I've ever had the pleasure of working on. Granted, I've never tried a fancy pants brand like Keychron, but for someone who doesn't know any better, this is the perfect keyboard at its price point.

I had expected the freebie switches to be sub par, but I've absolutely no intention of replacing them after working on this keyboard for the past two weeks. It's highly responsive, looks pretty and has a decent heft to it that would make concrete boots jealous. The colourful aluminium frame is gorgeous and I've had plenty of fun customising it to my liking.

TLDR: Chonky metal keyboard feels nice to type on and makes nicer noises. 5 stars.

Really good keyboard kit for the price!

I doubt this keyboard kit, with free switches from Computer Orbit can be beat!
The keyboard is heavy, finished well, looks nice and comes with a screen.
Very easy to put together, and mod.
Came with free WS Yellow linear switches, which sound nice, and feel really nice to type on with this board.
Couldn't be happier!
Thank you Computer Orbit.

Fantastic Keyboard for the money

An absolutely amazing keyboard and typing experience. As my first Mechanical Keyboard, this one checks all the relevant boxes.
It feels very natural, weighted and ergonomic, but cannot comment on durability as it's only been a week.
The only downside has been the lack of 'beginner tools' (Spare switches, keycaps & puller) as provided by other suppliers, but a quick look on eBay sorted that out within a week. :)

Nice enough sound, tricky to mod

For the price this board sounds pretty good. However if you plan to mod there are a few things to consider.
1. The ribbon cable that attaches the screen is really tricky to put back into place when re-assembling the board.
2. If you want to add screw in stabilisers, you have to remove the rear foam that is almost super glued to the pcb, and if you're not careful you could remove a diode or possibly even a hot swap socket. Also good luck not leaving residue or ripping the foam in the process.

Overall the sound is OK nothing special and on the higher pitched side. For the price it's worth it, but I'd probably go with the Rainy 75 if you have that choice.
