DDR5 EXPO & XMP Support
Derived from the “built for stable and reliable” designing concept, ASRock does not compromise on any details. All B650 motherboards are built with 6-Layer PCB design, enthusiasts are able to enjoy the boost of DDR5 memory overclocking performance up to 6000MHz and beyond by enabling the pre-tested profiles. Make sure the memory modules are AMD EXPO™/ Intel® XMP capable and overclocking can be made so affordable, satisfying and absolutely no sweat at all.
 
Blazing OC Tuner
The Blazing OC Tuner allows AM5 CPU to switch between OC mode and PBO(Precision Boost Overdrive) mode when the CPU current hits threshold. Anything above current threshold will engage manual OC mode; if below current threshold then will engage Precision Boost Overdrive mode. This idea is to combine overclocking on all cores and automatic boost on a single core to get the best performance out of your CPU. There is no need to enter BIOS to setup up, you can modify all the settings on time under OS.
 
AMD PBO Technology
PBO(Precision Boost Overdrive) is an automatic performance-maximizing technology that is able to improve your PC’s performance by raising clock speeds based on the conditions inside your PC, AMD’s processors is equipped with intelligent thermal sensors designed to analyze conditions inside your PC and make the “go faster” decision as often as possible, please ensure system cooling is sufficient before enabling PBO.

Directions and manual clear and easy to follow with all the appropriate accessories. Made my first pc build easy especially with the pre installed io shield and wifi card.

Does the job

Bought it based on price and features - difficult to get Wifi, DDR5 and Gen 5 M2 slot for this price, with a B650 chipset which allows OC on the CPU.

Easy to set up. The boot to UEFI app from ASrock is handy - from their website. Good wifi performance. RGB all works as you would expect. Using Kingston Fury Beast DDR5-6000 RGB with EXPO profile, adata S70 gammix M2 SSD, themalright assassin king, Ryzen 7600. Not actually tried OC on the CPU yet. And waiting for GPU prices to become slightly more realistic (black friday?) before putting one in.

Has a cute RGB on the top right of the board you can mix in to lighting animations.

The ASrock RGB app is pants (didn't sync right with the RAM rgb), guess that is why openRGB and signalRGB exist!

Asrock b650 pro rs

Brought this to rebuild a gaming pc that had reached the end of its useful life, spoke to a friend who builds high end gaming machines as a job & he advised that this is what I would need for my amd rzen5 7600x processor, total budget for this rebuild was approx £500 (without graphics card).
Products arrived on time & well packaged ( also ordered a Thermalight cpu air cooler I will review this separately) build of some components onto this mobo prior to installing in case was straightforward, added m.2 2tb ssd & 2 x 16 bb ddr5 Corsair rgb dram, all ok this mobo comes with a substantial heat sink for the ssd much larger than came with ssd so kept this, install in case was fine the mobo was quite a bit smaller than the one I removed, once installed then added cpu, rtx4060 graphics card again straightforward next was cpu air cooler slightly trickier as it needed to be held in place & the screw each end tightened up a bit at a time to ensure even pressure. Then installed rest of hardware & turned on & everything worked fine. This is a great mobo plenty of fan connections only issue I had was access to second socket for power unit was quite tricky to get at due to cpu air cooler but in hindsight I should have probably connected this before the cooler. Other than that very good indeed, I have a clear sided case & this mobo with my rgb fans & dram looks fantastic. Only been built about 10 days so can’t give any feedback on performance as yet. I would recommend this product.
